We had a wonderful experience at Nam Ly. The place is incredibly beautiful, with many waterfalls, terraced rice fields and traditional wood houses. It’s totally off the beaten track so it takes some time to reach, but it’s totally worth it. The hosts are very welcoming and they will help you all the way: booking a bus or a motorbike, trekking in the rice fields, giving advices about the Hoang Su Phi area… honestly I doubt we could have come here without the help of Mr Dong.

The location is unbelievable, the most beautiful place i have ever slept at. Amazing views. Very nice owners, made me dinner and a light breakfast. The stay is really authentic, all the animals roaming freely at the nearby field... just a wonderful place!!

With Humor and kindness she showed us beautyful waterfalls and magic places, and she and her Family prepare amazing meals that are fresh organic from their own gardens and animals and the jungle. Our stay at Hoàng Su Phì - Móng Ngựa Homestay was amazing. The location, surrounded by breathtaking mountains and beautiful rice terraces, offered the perfect escape into nature. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were cozy and clean. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious, giving us a true taste of local flavors. We also loved the opportunity to interact with the locals and learn about their traditions. If you're looking for an authentic, peaceful experience in the stunning countryside, this homestay is a great place to go to!

The lotus flowers at Panhou Retreat are truly beautiful! I admired the vibrant blooming lotuses by the lake, creating a picturesque scene. Every morning, when the sunlight shines on the water's surface, the flowers look even more radiant. This is a wonderful place for taking photos and relaxing; I feel like I've stepped into paradise

I truly enjoyed the views and how helpful was the staff: they helped me a lot accessing and departing the area. I highly recommend booking a hiking day with them, it was a great experience. The bed was very comfortable and the dinner very tasty. Despite its beauty, Hoang Su Phi doesn’t get much tourists so it’s great to escape from the crowds.

I stayed at this homestay for 13 days and absolutely loved it — both for the incredibly beautiful location and for the chance to get to know the family. The hosts are wonderfully attentive and welcoming. Here, you can enjoy complete quiet or ask about anything that interests you — they’ll treat you with genuine care. The internet is excellent, there’s always hot water, and the bed is comfortable (though the pillows might feel a bit high for some). There are plenty of places to work on a laptop. There’s so much to explore around — you can wander the village for days. You’ll definitely find spots you fall in love with. I sincerely recommend staying here for a while instead of just passing through.

A fantastic and memorable 3 nights, with an amazing team running the property who were so helpful. A big thank you to them! The location is superb- it’s remote; 10-12 kms from the main road, but the drive up the mountain pass is amazing. The rooms have speculator views across the valley. The food was great, especially the hot pot, which we had a couple of times. There are good places to walk/trek from the resort, and the locals are so hospitable. Hoang Su Phi is an hours drive, which has an amazingly colourful market on Sundays. The western side of Ha Giang is far quieter, more remote and less touristy than the eastern side, but this is likely to change once the roads are repaired.
