Superb stay. Very friendly professional staff. The restaurant and its meals were excellent. Absolutely a wonderful place to stay and relax. The Amphitheatre, viewed from most of the resort, is stunning. Easy drive to the Royal National Park.

We have booked the budget room. When the lady wanted to show us the room, she immediately noticed an unpleasant wet smell in the air and tried everything possible to find out where this smell was coming from. After it was not obvious and not easy to solve, she gave us a much larger room with 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms as well as a living room and a kitchen in consultation with her supervisor. The cleanliness, comfort and friendliness with which we were received was wonderful. We felt incredibly comfortable for the (unfortunately) one night and can absolutely recommend the accommodation. We will definitely return there if we travel to the Drakensberg again.

Let's be honest this is the place to be if you want to do the Tugela Falls/chain ladders hike as well as other hikes. We stayed in the newer Sentinel rooms and they were very comfortable, roomy with great views. We enjoyed the bar/lounge for a drink before dinner or just to hang out after the hike. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options. We also requested a packed lunch for the hike, which was very welcomed! The staff is very nice and helpful. Note: We would recommend to book a transfer to the start of the chain ladder hike at the Sentinel carpark. Do not attempt to drive there yourself as the road is in extremely bad condition. Worth the cost!

The self catering chalets were well appointed and had an excellent mountain view. Hikes were lovely, especially Settlers Cabin. Staff always friendly and eager to accommodate requests

It was a real pleasure to come there. Paul is an amazing host. Always trying to serve you better. He cooks well too. The room is cosy with a good matress and the water is aleays hot. There is a beautiful big garden too. It was perfect to stay there to do sentinel peak trail (1h19 for driving) Paul give me a breakfast to go it was really nice. I would like to come back
