It’s a beautiful building and the staff took great care of us. Nothing is too much. Making fires and putting heated blankets on the beds. The breakfast was served sizzling hot and looked 5 star quality. We also requested dinner and that was also amazing. The value for money was so good, and we are definitely coming back for a summer visit and a dip in the pool.

For visiting the hot springs it is good, however it is...

For visiting the hot springs it is good, however it is expensive and you are better off staying in an Air BnB near by and visiting the springs in the day time. Bedrooms lack privacy and are prone to noise from the outside and neighbouring rooms well into the evening.

We chose the route via Caledon, to Chelsea Flowers at...

We chose the route via Caledon, to Chelsea Flowers at Stanford, rather than the usual route through Hermanus. Beautiful drive through valley from Caledon to Stanford. Best in Caledon was dinner at The Barn Restaurant ... don't judge a restaurant by it's front door!!! It's a gem: extensive menu, generous proportions, friendly service, quirky ice buckets! Shop for personal essentials was easy to find. Spa and Casino at Caledon Hotel were of no interest to us. Flowers weren't open on the overcast day.

I was born and raised in Caledon and liked being back.

I was born and raised in Caledon and liked being back. It was just as I remembered. The beautiful mountain views, the town surrounded by farmland is an experience in itself. It is a quiet town and close to other towns like Hermanus, Gansbaai, Grabouw etc. I would recommend staying in Caledon as well as a visit to the Caledon Spa with its natural hot spring.

When you drive into Caledon you think you are just driving...

When you drive into Caledon you think you are just driving into a working farming village (which it also is) but it also has so much more to offer. Its a great stop when driving from cape town to the garden route, close to hemel and aarde valley and to hermanus. The town itself has beautiful botanic gardens, a big spa and casino, you can do quadriding and also worlds longest zipline is there! We loved our stay at the Caledon Grace Guesthouse- a wonderful Victorian home from the 1850's- in lush gardens where we could really relax after all this roadtripping.

Very nice room with beautiful view.

Very nice room with beautiful view. The hot pools were lovely, but the upper ones not very well marked. I had Sunday lunch in the restaurant, and breakfast also there and both meals were very good. The dining room is spacious with a lovely view.

We went on our honeymoon, and we are still raving about that...

We went on our honeymoon, and we are still raving about that breakfast ... the sauna and steam rooms are my very favourite and there's a gym!!!! My new favourite place to visit. We took a walk down to the little shopping mall every day and enjoyed that exercise too. The venue is amazing, and you will enjoy every minute.

Very special place on the edge of Caledon. A little oasis with lush garden and a long history. Staff was super friendly, welcoming you with a drink and they are willing to help with everything. I was staying for work, but would definitely go back there again just to relax. Big beautiful pool, lots of spots to sit and have a drink, a big lounge with a fireplace, fast wifi and a really warm shower and a nice soft bed and linnen. Breakfast very much to choose from and everything served out with care. 10 out of 10!

We like the spacious room opening onto the beautiful lush garden with a braai on the stoep. The shower has a view of the garden which was absolutely magical. We were allowed to check in earlier and the bed was super comfy. Definately the place to stay when you are in Caledon. Highly recommended!
