We were travelling from Benoni to Natal South Coast this was an ideal stop over for us. We knew the room had a kettle and a fridge but not the microwave. We stopped for lunch b3fore we checked in then had a sandwich later, but the microwave would be handy for people travelling.

    The city is a great stopover on the way to the Drakensberg Mountains (Giants Castle or Champagne Valley) plus it is only a short drive to the Wagendrift Nature reserve and Moor Park. Good town to stock up on supplies before heading to the mountains.

    Wagendrift dam was the highlight of our stay, make sure you pay this place a visit. there is a small fee per person and half price for children at the gate. its well worth the fee. Pack picnic lunch and enjoy the views, swimming is allowed and other water sports too like boats.
