Pure Sea was worth the drive from Cape Town. The property is beautiful and the staff is so friendly. I stayed here because I wanted to relax and watch the whales and that's exactly what I did. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. I highly recommend staying here.

Owner was very friendly and helpful, He gave us many advices about surroundings of accomodation and helped us to book some restaurants. Everything was greather than we excepted. Even when now is not the best season to spot whales, we saw a many of them! It was great, right from the terrace we observed whales cruising through on jumping up or clapping with tail fins to the water. Also klingap cave is wery interresting and magical place and the best about that is in very close vicinity from house. We enjoyed whole stay there. Reccomend!

A very nice guesthouse that makes you feel at home abroad. Located directly on the cliff with an amazing view of the ocean and the whales 🐋. Mrs. Wallce took real good care of all our needs and treated us like family, breakfasts where great, she organized our dinners and got us tables at the best restaurants in town , cared for our transportation, etc. We had a great time ,even the rain didn't ruin our holiday.

The penguin rehabilitation centre was excellent. The harbour is not tourist friendly. If you come to Gansbaai you would love to eat take away fish, But Saturday ,late afternoon no fish and chips were open

It is close to De Kelders, where we saw MANY whales. it is close to Franskraal, which is beautiful. The Boat trip at Marine Dynamics was awesome and the food and atmosphere at the restaurant was exceptional.

Gansbaai was a comfortable city with spectacular views where our family explored the southern coast of South Africa. We discovered hidden beaches, spotted many beautiful Protea flowers, sunbathed on Pearly Beach, went to the fish market in the harbor at Gansbaai, lunched on butter chicken and fish and chips at the Blue Goose, restaurant on Hoop St, hiked Klipgat Caves at the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, glimpsed a pod of orcas, and a mother Southern Right whale and her calf, spotted three of the Marine Big 5, dined at the White House, saw Danger Point lighthouse along a four wheel drive track along the beach, found crazy amounts of beautiful shells on the beach. It was an epic adventure.

Amazing place and location.

Amazing place and location. The staff were very friendly though, especially Carol who makes my wife day so special on her birthday much appreciated, she even upgraded our room that was amazing The ocean view was spectacular, and the breakfast was next level anytime again for me to visit Sea Star Lodge.

This was an exceptional stay with an exceptional view. We were passing through Gansbaai and ended up at one of the most beautiful places we ever stayed. The property is well situated, very neat, and well equipped. It was such a great experience for us to stay over at Sunset View.

Very spacious. Beds and couches were comfortable and enough extra bedding was provided. The jacuzzi was a lovely added bonus which everyone enjoyed. Relevantly close to the beach, a bit of a distance if you want to walk but about 5 min drive.
