The food was one of the best parts. We were served a 3-course meal, which was home cooked and fresh. We also got to try brandy tarts for the first time, which was excellent. Highly recommend this for anyone who is staying at Mieliefontein.

The whole set up is very sweet, Louis was incredibly friendly and helpful. It gave the us the feel of small town charm, a restful and safe nights stay all found in middle of the Karoo. Perfect place to stay on your way to or from Cape Town.

Dont let the look of the town scare you away. It is atippical small town, with gravel roeds and old buildings and houses. We nearly drove past without first going inside and boy am I glad we did not decide to give it a miss. I liked everything about this guest house. Friendly owners, awesome accommodation great food just an overall great experience. Will most definitely be staying there again on my next trip to and from Cape Town!!
