Wow this hotel and its staff are amazing. The grounds are suburb. The food is exceptional and cooked fresh to order. You are always make to feel welcome by every member of staff. We introduced ourself on arrival and the staff remembered our names the whole time of our stay. A big thank you to Jacob, Peter and Brian for making our stay even more memorable. The maintenance and garden team do a fantastic job of keeping the garden looking beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return.

The property itself is stunning! We loved the big beautiful gardens with tall trees, the playground, the swing and the pool. The setting is secluded and magical. The owners’ dogs were super friendly as well. All of the staff were amazing. The apartment was serviced daily, and any request we had was met quickly. They provided us with fire wood for an evening braai, as well as beach towels, cooler box and beach umbrella for a day out and about. Particularly thoughtful and handy was the box of kids toys left at the door of the apartment which our toddler busy for a while. The WiFi was good, beds comfortable, bedrooms spacious and living room/kitchen well equipped. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much for an amazing stay!

Absolutely everything about this place is amazing. My husband and I stayed for three nights and we had the best time. The views are phenomenal and the staff are attentive and welcoming and really make you feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble. Such a treat!

The Houtbay harbour is definetly something for any traveller...

The Houtbay harbour is definetly something for any traveller to experience. World of birds was a great outing our 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed it. The fish market had the freshest fish too with great variety.

Quiet nice town. We ate at a seaside tourist restaurant. It had great fresh fish and we could walk there on the beach. The least favorite was the haggling and begging at the docks before and after the seal boat ride. This town was our first stop in South Africa and it really represented the divide between wealth and poor. I think to get around you will have to have a rental car. definitly drive part way up the cliff drive, the sceanery and plant life was very interesting.

We stayed in Hout Bay for three nights.

We stayed in Hout Bay for three nights. It's a small fishermen town, very sleepy/peaceful. Yet, there are enough restaurants and bars to find your taste. We were two girls travelling alone, but we felt very safe there. You can easily do some hikes from there, take a walk at Hout Bay Beach, visit Cape Good Hope or Chapmans Peak. Other than that, there is not very much to do. So pick Hout Bay if you want a safe and peaceful stay near Cape Town!

We have been coming to Hout Bay for 20+ years.

We have been coming to Hout Bay for 20+ years. It has been consistently good AND much improved since the fish factory and its occasional stench has shut down. The beach is great. There are plenty of eateries with a range of prices, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. However we were unable to find a "special" place to eat. The Lookout is great for oysters and the fish and chips. We always hire a car. We know the Western Cape and have no problem getting around. Friends ask why we visit The Cape every year to which we reply - "the scenery, the food, the wine, we can watch the Premier League and The Six Nations, they drive on the left and they know how to make tea."

The hosts and staff were excellent, and we're always there to help when necessary. The breakfasts were top class. We had a very enjoyable stay. The location is ideal for travelling around Cape Town. The hosts have taken on board solar energy, which is very important with the power shedding in South Africa 🇿🇦 Our room was a little small, but all other rooms are large, 8and all rooms are tastefully decorated

It was located in Hout Bay. So this hotel was quiet and scenic. There were a great kitchen and wide terrace. Room were clean, wide and beautiful. Breakfast was so great. Everything was fresh and delicious. Staffs was very kind. It was very nice hotel. I was happy during staying in this hotel If I stay to Cape town, I will choose this Dreamhouse Guest House.
