The overall experience of Kapama River Lodge stay was above the expectations. The location couldn't be better, with Hoedspruit Airport just at the end of the Kapama Reserve. All meals were exceptional, with diferent menus everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The wellness center is a magic place with an infinite pool with a river view and with complete services. The safari experience was one of the big highlights of Kapama River Lodge with rangers Marcus and Ringo doing an outstanding work of tracking animals. The service and sympathy of all staff members of the hotel was 5 stars, and all logistics well planned.

Absolutely loved our time at Little Africa and would have stayed much longer if we could have! The small size of the lodge meant the setting felt very intimate and personalised, and we found each of the staff members a pleasure to deal with. The drivers and tracker for the game drives were engaging and get you amazingly close to the wildlife- we were able to see all of the big 5 within the first 3 drives. The food also deserves a special mention- was home prepared according to personal preference and was delicious!

Our stay at Moditlo far surpassed our expectations in all aspects of the experience. Beautiful and tranquil luxury lodge with a friendly vibe from attentive, courteous and accommodating staff. Excellent food in Boma fireside setting as well as outdoor dining area. Lovely, ultra-comfortable accommodation with frequent visits from gentle nyala rummaging in the grass and entertaining monkeys. Game drives were expertly guided by Jika and his tracker, Caswell. We saw the Big 5 within the first 2 drives! Enjoyed lounging, relaxing and cooling off by the spacious pool between drives. Not a single complaint about our stay at Moditlo.

Great service starts right from the moment you walk in. The butler greeted us at the door with drinks, which was just wonderful. Be ready for surprises at any moment here! The three days we spent here are truly memorable! Let's talk about the villa itself first. The facilities are very complete. The name Ukannyi comes from a Marula tree next to our house, which drops fruits onto the floor every day, making a fascinating sound! Get used to living with local wildlife. One day, we encountered a family of warthogs coming to graze. They stayed in our front and back yards for a long time while we were reading and swimming, and they were leisurely grazing. Giraffes also came near our house; I was really looking forward to a giraffe poking its head into our outdoor shower, haha! The villa has a large beautiful living room, dining room, and kitchen. A chef comes to our room to cook three meals a day for us. Sometimes we eat inside, sometimes outside, and every meal is different and very delicious. On the last evening, to bid us farewell, the butler dressed in beautiful local attire, giving us a huge surprise. Be ready for surprises at any moment here, but I won't spoil too much! The room has 3 bedrooms, each large and comfortable, and we slept very well. There is also a swimming pool, which the 2 children especially liked to play and swim in. The twice-daily safari activities are the most exciting part. Although it takes 3 hours each morning and evening to look for animals, we were not tired at all. Apart from the leopard, we saw all of the Big Five multiple times, and as a consolation, we were very fortunate to see cheetahs. The feeling of returning to nature is just too wonderful! I'm really looking forward to coming back! Many thanks to our butler, trackers,guides, chefs, and all the staff for bringing us such wonderful memories!

Loved it. Was initially doubtful about a "camp". How stupid was I? Great staff - all superfriendly and all took the time to introduce themselves and give a rundown. Excellent chef who ran through the menu each day and gave us choices and unexpected treats. Loved the animals, the river, the so called tent which had the best bed of our month in South Africa together with its view of the river and animals.....if I could give it a 6 star I would.
