I Lived there for 18 years and had wonderfull childhood memories, but now the roads are very bad and basically offer you only 1 option to travel there and that is via Standerton, ant mostly with a SUV due to the amount of potholes on the road, that is not getting fixed.... The roads are in terrible shape with potholes everywhere. Travel in a 4X4 to avoid costly damages on your car. I am sure the council at Newcastle will give the usual excuses like they have no money in their budget to fix the roads.
