We had an absolutely amazing stay in the Cabin. It is the furthest unit, at the end of the farm with beautiful views of the Rondevlei, with absolute privacy. The Cabin is spacious with two beautiful and fully equipped rooms and en-suite bathrooms; a kitchen and dining room with everything you may need - and more. Apart from ‘the normal’ milk, coffee and tea, they provided perfectly measured sachets of filter coffee for the plunger, complete with packets of biscuits and a pot of marshmallows. It has a nice balcony /deck area with comfortable sun-loungers and a gas bbq with little table, equipped with all braai tongs and dishes, put ready. Just off the terrace is a braai / fire pit with a wood fired hot tub - which was pre-heated when we arrived…. It was the absolute highlight of our trip. It was amazing to sit in the hot water, glasses of wine in hand, admiring the stars in the clear skies or listening to the birds chirp away. The whole weekend was absolutely amazing with every possible comfort because everything is clearly very lovingly furnished and put together. In addition to the facilities described on their site, there are so many little touches and nice surprises to be experienced. Hint: order the breakfast! It is AMAZING! Hiking is available on the farm and in the adjacent Wilderness National Park. We did not have personal contact with the hosts, but the communication was amazing and prompt via WhatsApp.

So incredibly amazing to be in the trees and nature! A really beautiful experience for anyone who loves climbing trees! Staff was so friendly for our welcoming. These units seem to be built for summer, they did their best to help with visitors in winter like us and provided everything they could, and we battled with the cold. No regrets and we still loved it!

The property is extremely clean and very well maintained,great value for money . Comfortable bedding ,plenty towels and little touches like chocolate, teas ,coffee and hot chocolate ,spacious . We only stayed a night but it lends itself to longer stays …a home away from home . Nya the host was very friendly.

Great place for a week end especially in summer.

Great place for a week end especially in summer. Adequate shops, coffee shops etc. Nice fish n chips, restaurants and lots of lovely places nearby like Wilderness Knysna etc. Lovely drives up the hills. Views beautiful, riding bikes fine. Walks to Gerickes point.

The number of bergies or street people hanging at the SPAR...

The number of bergies or street people hanging at the SPAR and surrounding area for the size of town was disconcerting. Nearly had an incident regarding the snatch of a cell phone. Wonderful little town with good restaurants and upkeep of paths and benches wonderful to see. Clear marking of dog friendly beaches helpful.

Sedgefield is a hidden gem, often overlooked by visitors to the Garden Route. Most people only visit the popular markets on Saturdays, but do not know about the spectacular beaches or the stunning river mouth and estuary. The town also offers excellent eateries with a variety of dietary choices. Overall, the town is also quite safe and not too touristy.

It was a very relaxing stay.

It was a very relaxing stay. We loved the tranquillity and the natural surroundings with beautiful bird sounds. The views over the lake and the mountains were spectacular. The unit itself was very comfortable and I loved the indoor heated pool.

It was a lovely visit…Sedgefield has a lot more to offer...

It was a lovely visit…Sedgefield has a lot more to offer than first thought and is so beautiful..took a drive and couldn’t believe how beautiful the houses and beaches were and ate at a really amazing restaurant on the beach. Went to the Saturday Market which spectacular!

The tranquility, beautiful views and sounds of the birds, sums up Sedgefield in our book. Plus the amazing sunrises and sunsets. The accommodation at Karios on the Lake was outstanding, extremely comfortable. A fully equipped kitchen made it a pleasure to do self-catering. The hosts Penny and Warren became friends, and we will definitely meet up with them again.

This is self-catering so breakfast is not included. We booked for 5 days and had a great time with my grandkids. They enjoyed canoeing on the river and walks and brought their bikes to explore and ride up and down the hill and in and around Sedgefield. The views from the top of the mountain are spectacular. There is a lot to do in Sedgefield and the beaches and rock pools are full of sea life. We brought our life jackets for the grandkids. The house has a great stoep and a nice braai area.

The most beautiful setting .Lyn and Tommy are exceptional hosts . If you are looking for Pet Friendly you have found the perfect space ! Sedgefield is stunning.
