The hosts were fabulous—friendly and full of local knowledge. The Treehouse was full of character and had everything you could possibly need. The balcony/porch with a braai is surrounded by trees, giving you the feeling of being right in the middle of a forest. The Crags is a little out of the way, but that’s the beauty of the place. The cottage offers excellent value in a truly wonderful location.

A hidden gem! The drive up is extremely misleading, this is a true secluded jungle experience with open 360 views from the room. We booked a spa experience which was private and romantic. Can`t thank you enough, arrived on the Friday,9th very tired and very heartsore, have lost my husband very unexpectedly exactly 5 months prior, to a heart attack, that came from nowhere. This was my first official outing on my own and the cottage was all I needed. Went to one of my best friends son`s wedding at Kay and Monty Vineyard on the Saturday , sadly she had died the year before my husband , so the cottage was such bliss and peace and nuturing for my sore soul. A beautiful region, with excellent restaurants. The Grootrivier and (Western Cape part of) the Bloukrans River passes are exceptional, as is Nature's Valley. The Birds of Eden is THE world leading bird conservancy -- the biggest anywhere with free flying birds in a magnificent forest with a beautiful kloof, waterfall ,,, The nearby Monkeyland and Jukani conservancies are also probably the best in Africa. Thyme & Again restaurant is also a favourite.

This is definitely not a family holiday spot!

This is definitely not a family holiday spot! It could, at best, be a backpackers lodge. The water in the bathrooms was brownish, and although there were assurances that it was healthy, we were sceptical. The rooms were tiny and barely furnished. The kitchen is communal and almost 100 meters away from the rooms - very inconvenient for those rainy days! What about the toilet and bathroom outside the rooms! We had surely booked the wrong place, and stayed only for one night out of four.

Its a wonderful place to stay, especially since it is 18kms from Plettenberg Bay, so its more serene than Plett over the height of summer. There is a lot to do in the vicinity. We loved our visits to the elephant sanctuary (an absolute must-do), the wolf sanctuary, Birds of Eden, Tenikwa (wildlife rehabilitation), Jukani (wildlife sanctuary, especially for Big Cats) and Monkeyland. There's a super water park (Adventureland) about 19kms away, with fabulous waterslides. We made the mistake of not booking restaurants for dinner in advance. Over late December / early January most places were fully booked, which really limited our options and we spent a lot of time calling around, which we could have avoided. I would scout the restaurants and book well in advance next time.

Wonderful stay in a lovely cabin. We were given an upgrade which was a lovely surprise. The location is very quiet, no one else is really around and the view is lovely. Ben and the dogs greeted us on arrival and gave some suggestions for things to do and places to eat. It's an eco lodge so it is rustic which adds to the charm and is very clean and maintained. Recommend to anyone in the area and can get to Plett and Natures Valley quite easily.

Gert-Jan is a super host, very kind and friendly! The B&B is indeed very colourful and cosy! You have everything you need to cook a very nice breakfast and wine and beers are also available to purchase if you want. Bear in mind there aren't restaurants near by. The place is lovely and conveniently close to the animal sanctuaries "birds of Eden" and "Monkey Island".

Exceptional, a true delight, one of the very best boutique hotel experiences we have had in all our travels. Go, stay, unwind, you will not be disappointed. And dont bother about booking dinner anywhere else - each night was a feast, and the wine list is spot and, balanced and compliments both food and location.
