The cottage is charming, quaint, exceptionally well kept and has everything you would need for a perfect couple of nights away. The bed is comfortable, bathroom facilities clean and adequate and the kitchenette has it all. The outside patio is quaint and peaceful, with a nice piece of lawn to sit or lie on. Braai facilities, while maybe a little detached from the areas one would sit, were clean and adequately stocked with wood and braai utensils. Extra wood was easily available at R50 a crate (at the time of writing) The fire pool is small but more than adequate for amount of guests the cottage hosts, which is 2.

Enclosed patio with beautiful view. The room may be a bit small for a long stay but it was perfect for us. The room had everything we needed an aircon, great lighting, essential kitchen utilities, a comfortable bed and the warmest shower. We enjoyed the lambs, walking around and relaxing at the pool. It is a great place to relax and recharge our batteries.

Great location in the Valley and great amenities on site. The cellar and wine tasting on site, overlooking the day with the rolling lawn was amazing for an afternoon of relaxation. We spent ever afternoon in the pool which was also a bonus. Being there mid-week it was very quiet which was great.

Historical, but also lots of wineries etc.

Historical, but also lots of wineries etc. Not much to do if you're not a foodie, or outdoorsy, probably, but if you are, it's a bit different to the usual wineries. Great place for a stopover on your way back to Cape Town. The town has gone to effort to put itself on the tourist map, which is commendable.

Tulbagh was pretty with historical buildings.

Tulbagh was pretty with historical buildings. Deli and Co was super to eat and early dinner at. We checked in and went to look at the town and eat. Didn't wasn't to drive around at night with a full car. We didn't bother with breakfast just left early after the awful night and moved on. I would return but definitely try to find a better place to stay. Prefer to stay outside of town.

Spectacular historic buildings, fruit farms, vineyards & associated wineries with beautiful mountains forming a backdrop. Road signposting in the town could be improved. The few potholes, also in the town, should be repaired.

I have fallen madly in love with Tulbach.

I have fallen madly in love with Tulbach. I haven't been there for years. It's simply magnificent. The surroundings are vast and spectacular. I loved the crisp cold winter air. The locals are friendly and sincere. Definitely a place everyone should visit.

It's a nice small town, very safe and friendly locals. The drive there is beautiful and the surrounding mountains bring a sense of calm. If you're a wine lover you can visit the many surrounding wine farms.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Marius and Romijn are fantastic hosts and gave us great suggestions with regards to attractions in the Tulbagh area (we loved the olive farm and olive tasting). The accommodation was clean and the bed/linen were superb. We enjoyed the peaceful location, yet we were less than 1km to the historic town centre. We will definitely stay here again!

Location was amazing, beautiful views, sunrise and sunsets are gorgeous, it's right in the heart of wine farms. The room was spacious, with enough light into it and not stuffy at all. Bed was big and comfortable, room was fairly clean, bathroom is big with shower and bath They also have a electricity backup so you are never without power during loadshedding/power failures
