Gem in Cape Town Our stay at The Vineyard Hotel was almost accidental—just a single night stopover in Cape Town before heading deeper into the Western Cape. Yet what we discovered felt nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beauty of the setting. Nestled in the heart of a bustling city, the hotel felt like a secret sanctuary—an oasis where the gardens seemed like a direct slice out of the Garden of Eden itself. The lush greenery, perfectly tended grounds, and tranquil atmosphere transported us to another world. The facilities were absolutely world-class, and the staff went above and beyond in every possible way. We wanted for nothing. Every detail was handled with seamless care and warmth, leaving us feeling both spoiled and at home. The food was exquisite—among the finest we’ve ever tasted in all our international travels. Each dish was crafted with a depth of flavor and artistry that elevated the dining experience to something unforgettable. Although our stay was brief—just one night—the impression it left on us will last far longer. We are already dreaming of our return, when we can take our time to savor this incredible place again. The Vineyard is truly a gem of Cape Town, and we cannot wait to return.

The location & Great Staff! Especially the Sommelier Lungi. She has a great knowledge of all the wines in South-Africa. Zolani the waiter, such a wonderful supportive person. And the Exec Chef Bradley, we have had dinner 3x times and they where above expectations!!

What is there to say/write? A fabulous place, one can book here with their eyes closed. From the hearty breakfast (eggs, great yoghurt, delicious breads) and carefully crated, to the last details (like the net covers over the carafes), the stocked tea stations, the décor is sublime, all in all a relaxing experience in a central location. Keep going guys! We got some great tips from Russell that in fact changed the orientation of our trip elsewhere in the Western Cape and made a difference, one thing leading to another (e.g. stop offs for specific wineries G Beck in particular, and specific route R62 to take) The whole team approach, including Fatima and Lino (hope the names and spelling are indeed correct) is really evident. The breakfast was amazing, the hotel has incredible views over Cape Town and table mountain and the staff are so kind and friendly. Great for dietary needs to as we had a gluten and dairy free guest and were catered for so well. The chicken was amazing in the restaurant too.

It is close to the ‘action’ including hop on hop off bus tours and rental cars. Interesting neighbourhood but completely manageable. Staff were very helpful without being over the top. Food is ‘gorgeous’ it really is, avo on toast for breakfast outstanding!

Helpful, friendly staff. Perfect brekky. Delicious afternoon cake, afternoon drinks (not free) very good. Attention to detail evident everywhere, as was true customer focus. Decor is a pleasant mix of industrial and garden. We had a divine city/waterfront view, partially, ideally, screened by lovely trees.

A very convenient hotel for a 1pm departure from CPT airport, with no traffic after 9am. It seemed brand new, with a superb suite for us on the 2nd floor with a gorgeous terrace and view. Our kids stayed in a comfy room downstairs. The dinner was very nice, as was the brekkie the next morning.
