Fresh bread, milk and eggs were provided, which was a very nice touch. We always prefer self-catering accommodation for our travels in the UK and all over the world, and I would say that this is one of the best we have ever stayed in. A pity we couldn't stay longer, but our trip to NZ was a bit of a whistle-stop tour after coming over for a family wedding!

The holiday home provides mountain views, a sun terrace, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. Location is in countryside and is very quiet. Easy drive to town about 4min. Swimming pool, gym, pleasant country lane walk, animals all added to experience being better than normal accomadation.. Cleanliness was exceptional..

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, garden view and a patio, Rose Cottage is situated in Puketapu. This recently renovated holiday home is located 18 km from McLean Park and 19 km from Pania of the Reef Statue. There is a picnic area and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Our stay was impeccable, we wished we had booked more than 2 nights! Janiene and David were excellent hosts who had thought of everything and were so accomodating in giving us a tour around the property and the beautiful historical home. The kitchen was more than equipped for staying in and cooking, the additional touches (speakers for music, lawn games, wool blankets in the al fresco area, coffee machine, umbrellas by the door) did not go unnoticed. This is the perfect country escape. We would highly recommend the local cycling wine tours in the area, but also make sure you book an extra night or two to enjoy this beautiful property on its own!

The villa was absolutely gorgeous, exceptionally clean and fabulously designed. Beds were a highlight, so comfy after a long day of exploring. Hosts were a delight too. Fantastic place.
