Great location. It was home away from home. Amanda was just the best host. It felt like visiting best friends on their farm. We stayed for a week, but we could have stayed for a month.

Breakfast was not part of the arrangements, the location is absolutely superb with being able to walk onto the beach and the coastal walk which stretched for 13 km alongside the ocean. Hard to speak too highly of this location and the facilities, one of the highlights of our trip so far, we will be returning. The views from the accommodation are stunning, this more than lives up to the photographs.

Such a special and beautiful place. I don't think you will get any better location in the whole of Taranaki (unless you like staying in the middle of the city). The view of Mount Taranaki and the surrounding hills were breathtaking. The house is completely new and has all the smooth, nice commodities of a modern luxury house. Would love to come back there again one day!

Away from all the mod cons
no TV no wifi instead listening to the birds so peaceful abit of traffic noise but that's ok too

Such a beautiful set up, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Just a quick drive from town but felt so secluded and quiet - felt like we were in the middle of nowhere! Such great shower pressure, was better than at home. The bacon and eggs left by the hosts for breakfast the next day was the cherry on top. Also loved having the Alapacs friends coming to visit and being able to feed them the pellets.

Jarene's property is immaculate, comfortable and peaceful . We had a clear view of Mt. Taranaki. The property is in short driving distance to Mt. Taranaki Visitor centre and also to start of York Road entrance to the national park and other amenities. There were really nice touches in our whole stay. Jarene and Shaun are great hosts , very friendly and made our stay very comfortable.
