The staff at the Tea Hills is amazing - very caring and accommodating towards all requests, and take good care of you! The view from this hotel is also something to look forward to.

I was welcomed and cared for in an outmost great manner by Ruban, Lisha and Desmand. They were always present and ready to help out with any requests. My departure day included another personal service- all the way to the train station including the waiting time there. The food is simply wonderful. A tour, behind the scene at the tea factory was a learning curve and definitely another high point. Never again will I have a cup of tea without gratitude to the hard working tea pluckers (mature women), field and factory workers. Just to learn about tea. What it is, and the different stages of production? The bungalow is the only place that offers a field and factory tour combined. The tea pluckers will eventually fade away as young people do not want to take over. So there is a shift on its way. The bungalow, as well as the Tea Queen bungalow ( 10 years old) are tucked away above the town Norwood. The area is great for hiking, walking. To visit this unique place is totally recommended.

At the time of booking, there was only one review of this homestay. So we took a leap of faith - that's how we roll... Wow! Were we rewarded! This is by far the best homestay, and Deva is a superhost! He goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we could possibly want and need, while his lovely wife Mangu conjures up meals fit for the gods! The room is spacious, clean and comfortable (mosquito-net included). A large bay-window overlooks the tea plantations. At night, the subtle ramblings of an enthusiastic river will guide you into a deep coma, as it did for us. The quaint town is within walking distance and packed with friendly Tamil shopkeepers. We absolutely loved our stay! Everyone should experience their hospitality and homestay for sure. It has been the highlight of our journey so far. Thanks to Deva and his wife Mangu. :-)

The staff was great, very helpful and caring. The place is surrounded by nature and is a great base for hiking and trips to waterfalls. If you don't have your own vehicle, you can take advantage of the wide range of activities they organize.

If we could rate Cabin 7000ft higher than 10/10, we absolutely would! This place is an experience in itself. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, and the level of care and service was outstanding. The location is simply breathtaking. Perched above Sri Lanka’s highest village, the views stretch endlessly over rolling farmland, where highland vegetables grow in neat rows, and behind the cabin lies a dense forest, home to local wildlife. Watching the landscape change with the light was magical. The cabin itself is a dream—spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and instantly inviting. You arrive, take a deep breath, and feel at home. Everything is well-maintained, and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into every detail. What really stood out was the hospitality. Not only were we looked after with great care, but even our guide/driver was well accommodated. The owner was always there with a smile, ready to help, even suggesting a beautiful hiking route and making sure we were set up for a great walk. A personal highlight: my partner’s birthday fell during our stay, and to our surprise, she was gifted a beautiful birthday cake—a gesture that truly made the day extra special. We also dined at the cabin, and it was one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. The owner and his wife clearly have a passion for good food, and it was a pleasure to taste it. Communication was seamless from the start, with quick and easy WhatsApp contact, making everything effortless. Cabin 7000ft is more than just a stay—it’s a special place that lingers in your memory long after you leave. Highly, highly recommended!

Staff were fantastic! Property is wonderful

This place is even better than the photos. It’s a two story villa with a well equipped kitchen, upstairs bedroom with views forever, and the bath was a very special treat. We felt so at home here, cooked ourselves a meal with vegetables from the stall next door and relaxed on the comfy couch. I wish we had stayed longer to take advantage of the walks that can be accessed directly from the property. The staff a delightful. Highly recommend.

The hotel is amazing, with a beautiful location and a fantastic swimming pool. We really enjoyed the opportunity to walk through the tea fields. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, everything was freshly prepared using local ingredients. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
