We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere surronded by animals while we were actually ideally located. We saw the lion rock, Dambulla and did 2 safaris from the hotel (Horulu & Wilpattu). You can also find nice restaurants and shops just outside the resort. Hosts are very helpful to give you advice, price, find tuk tuk at any time etc...Everyone was lovely and our deluxe water cottage was very comfortable.

Chathuri and her sister have done an incredible job to create and idyllic and restful cottage. Located a short walk down a small side road, the quaint cottages are away from the hustle and bustle of central Sigiriya and allows you to take in the sounds of nature. Chathuri and her sister’s breakfast was sensational and a very nice introduction to Sri Lankan cuisine for us. Chathuri’s husband Gayan was ready and waiting to pick us up from Habarana train station and we were also able to arrange a safari with Gayan which was sensational! I would recommend this place to all couples and solo travellers as a beautiful place to stay in Sigiriya and Sri Lanka.

The Cottage Sigiriya was pure relaxation in the middle of the rainforest. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly (with a lovely welcome drink too!). The cottage was a large and comfortable bedroom, with bathroom and a front porch to sit on. The swimming pool was amazing, and the restaurant does food at any time of day. The staff attend to all of your needs and answer any questions, they can also arrange a tuktuk to go out to the town as it is a bit far (not really walkable) or they also have free bicycles to use. 100% recommendable- thankyou!

The room is super comfortable, clean, the bed cozy with a huge mosquito net which doesn't always touch you during the night, the bathroom big and clean with hot water. The breakfast was delicious and a large variety, the stuff always helpful and friendly. I can highly recommend this beautiful guesthouse! I wish I could stay longer!

Apartmant was a great spot inside the jungle not so far from centre of Sigiriya and the rock itself. It has all the necessary modern facilities with high cleanness. But the most amazing part is the host itself. He is the kindest person in Sigiriya, always helped us and reacted immediatelly for all wishes. Breakfast and dinner were great (you can ask dinner additionally). He has a tuktuk so he can drop you everywhere you wish and just type him and picks up you also. He likes to know foreign people and culture so we could talk a lot (and tried local beverages from our country, Hungary).

This place is amazing! Primot the owner is the nicest person I met in Sri Lanka. he took care of everything that we ask and was so kind. The room was big and clean, the garden is just stunning, and this family is so lovely. They cooked us the best rice and curry I've ever eaten and the Sri Lankan breakfast is also excellent, don't miss it. Primot will give you the best tips for a fun time in Sigiriya and a feeling of home. This place is an amazing value for your money, I highly recommend sungreen cottage, you won't regret it 💙

The place is a hidden gem. Like many others stay you have to go through a secondary road to get there but it is really pretty! You’re surrounded by nature and the sounds of animals. The hosts are the kindest people ! They helped me arrange my activities and my travel (e.g. bringing me to the bus station in Dambulla to get to Colombo. I’m glad I trusted them because I hopped on a bus that took 2.5hrs to get to Colombo instead of more than 5 like it’s on Google maps). The room is comfy and has all the facilities necessary, plus they cook incredibly well so I ended up having all my meals at the villa as there was not so much around anyway. Definitely recommend!!

The thatched cottage rooms are beautiful and immaculately clean and comfortable. The grounds are lush and tranquil. The pool is lovely. The location is great. I highly recommend this for a stay in Sigiriya.

Exceptional!! We stayed in the tree house which even had branches through the cabin - very cool. The view was spectacular of lion rock and the rice fields. Hot shower too. Crystal clear pool and charming grounds. At night you here all the frogs and crickets even from without the room. Service was great, they even delivered umbrellas to our room before we checked out so we wouldn’t get wet.
