Wonderful cottage in the middle of the Icelandic nature. Very easily reachable from the road 1. The cottage has everything you need for a pleasant break from travelling, all the necessary to cook and prepare breakfast is provided.

The two hosts were fantastic, they made us feel right at home! Upon check-in, the owner gave us a tour of the entire hotel and explained the story behind their business and their family. Had some lovely talks with both of them throughout our stay and I loved all the personal touches they added to the decor of the hotel. They were extremely accommodating and even let us put a few groceries in their fridge. We made our own dinner in the shared kitchen and enjoyed it on the outside terrace while watching the sunset behind the mountains. The surroundings were peaceful and offered the most beautiful views. We even watched a wild fox come and play with their dog!! The kitchen was clean and fully stocked with all of the equipment you need. Breakfast was superb, they offered a wide variety of meats, cheese, cereal, fruit and even fresh bread baked by the owner's wife. Our room was spacious, had a separate/private entrace, large bathroom and even included an extremely comfortable couch to relax on. Their service and hospitality was our favourite part. This was the best stay in all of Iceland, and we are so happy to have met the hosts!

The location in front of the lake is very beautiful. Cottage clean, Kitchenette had everything we needed. Easy check-in with code. Restaurants and Supermarket nearby (with car). Vöks bath 7 Min. from Cottages was perfect!

Our overall experience was fantastic! The house was really clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The host was very kind and welcoming, making sure our stay was smooth. The location was great, close to everything we wanted to explore. We would definitely stay here again!

It's a very comfortable and beautiful place. There's all of the amenities we can possibly need. The host was a delight as well, very nice, helpful and comprehensive. Heated floor in the main entrance, café machines and drying and washing machines also available. It was a really a modern house with a comfy outlook. Comfortable beds and big nice dining table. We loved it.

Such a cute little cabin and felt more spacious than the photos looked! We saw the northern lights going outside to round the back and looking north, and the owner was very sweet and attentive going out of her way to help our comfort and bring some extra pillows as we struggle to sleep with only one so that was very kind and it was very windy, it was very snowy around but the roads were manageable with 4x4 and lovely views around, good shower good firm beds, nice bedding, great mini fridge and freezer option good oven/ hob, kitchen was good with lots of utensils to use, very warm and cosy and peaceful and private, we liked having a tv, it has smart access too, WiFi was great, the supermarket closes at 7pm bear this in mind as we didn’t 😅

Exceptional location overlooking the fiords and the town. Very nice host who came over to check all was good as we arrived in the middle of a storm. And he also brought chocolate cookies as a welcome gift! I would definitely recommend this place. You can really see that this cottage is cured with love by the owner.
