We stayed here in November when the weather was starting to cool down. During the day we would leave the wooden doors open, letting the sunshine stream through the glass and warm the whole place, it was wonderfully toasty when we returned home. We were a group of three adults and a 5-month-old baby. The downstairs bedroom had a Western-style bed, which was perfect for my 73-year-old mum. Upstairs had futons, but they were very comfortable. The home also had a washing machine and a simple, convenient kitchen. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. They picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, took my mum to an onsen, and kept bringing us local treats to try. Their warmth and hospitality made our stay truly special. Highly recommended.

Mr.Shuji always stays around a house, so don’t worry. He can communicate in English as well. We’re so happy to choose this place for staying a night in Nikko.
