I’d definitely stay here again — great value and perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Sri Lankan breakfast in the morning was lovely and always served with a smile . The room was clean ,cool and mosquito free . Sanjeewa was an excellent source of local information and helped me with my ongoing travel itinerary As a sole female traveller I felt safe here The overall experience was warm , friendly , clean , convenient and excellent value for money

Run by a local family, Villa Shade is a charming and peaceful property surrounded by green gardens, just 4 km from Negombo City. Bicycles are available for rent, while traditional Sri Lankan breakfast is served upon request at an extra cost. Beautiful garden with home grown fruits, the staff is out of his way to assist, the room is perfect and the swimming pool is an amazing treat! Great breakfast and very quiet, calm vibes. We wish we could stay longer.

The house is very nice, clean, and comfortable — the rooms are spotless and the air conditioner is perfectly cold. The kitchen is brand new and fully equipped with modern appliances, which made our stay even more convenient. It’s a perfect place for families, and we stayed for a week very comfortably. The owner is super friendly and helpful, and the price is very reasonable. The location is also great, very close to town. Highly recommended!
