Our hostess Sofia greeted us with a port wine tasting, she was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Quinta Alto da Fraga is a lovely, modern and chic property close to the Vale do Côa museum and archaeological site. Our room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was top-notch. There is a lovely pool with sweeping views over the surrounding mountains. There were even a couple of friendly cats, Yoko and Mozart, that helped make our stay memorable. The owners obviously put a lot of care into making this place very special. I highly recommend this property if you need a place to stay in this part of the Douro Valley.

Fantastic relaxing stay amongst the vines. Our hostess Fernando was amazing. The accommodation was spot on, and a swim in the pool looking out over the vineyards was a highlight. Best stay of our trip.

In addition to the breathtaking location, the staff was truly exceptional! We were welcomed with a glass of port wine (made by the property’s winery) and offered a tour of the owner’s historic home next door. The owner takes great pride in the property and its history, and it shows in her enthusiasm in hosting her guests. The property is also fairly new, so the rooms are immaculate! I would highly recommend this property and fully intend to return.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. the location was fantastic! in the country with close proximity to the archeological museum. the hosts were very helpful and accommodating. she brought us fresh bread and delicious oranges every morning. we loved this gesture. the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was nice. would definitely stay here again.
