Also liked the location very close (by car) to the restaurants and places of interest. But the best was the staff, Leo and Rosaura, always ready to talk and help with suggestions and hints about La Fortuna. Thank you!

This tropical hotel is located next to Costa Rica's Arenal Volcano, 6 km from La Fortuna. It offers a natural hot spring, outdoor adventure activities, a luxurious spa and scenic volcano views. This is a great hotel. More like a vacation village. Highly recommended, especially with kids. But also fun for adults. Swim up bar, great drinks and food.

Situated on the banks of River Baru, Hotel Villas Río Mar is also within a walking distance of 900 metres from the Village of Dominical. The rooms with basic kitchen facilities were great, enjoyed the pools and breakfast was really nice. The staff were super friendly and helpful with any questions. It's a super quiet area and would definitely stay again.
