Maison Du Nord is situated in Pointe aux Cannoniers, less than 1 km from Pointe aux Canonniers Beach, and has a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. The staff are outstanding and hospitable (best of all the places we stayed in Mauritius. The rooms are lovely and simplistic with a little balcony/ terrace bit that’s still quite private. Breakfast was very nice too.

Set along the white sandy beach on the East Coast of Mauritius in Belle Mare, The Residence offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. It features an outdoor swimming pool and spa centre with a sauna. The best thing of this hotel is the staff! Seeing in our travel period the occupancy was under 20% we stayed a week and a big thanks to all the staff.Without them no hotel no hotel is anything! We were greater daily by the breakfast team with a wonderful breakfast buffet! Many thanks to Julie,Yasmin,Jessica,Bandana and our Chef Moonsamy who probably makes the best omelette we have tasted! The evening restaurant team and bar always made sure everything was fine with a 5 star rotation buffet menu! Special thanks to the Chef Sanguy who always had a smile for us and a small story! The whole kitchen team was fabulous! The hotel has many features and we enjoyed the beaches there and the pool! The rooms are spacious and the housekeeping crew with the floor butler looked after everything perfectly! Front office staff were very professional with concierge and the gardeners look after the property so it was a pleasure to enjoy the nature! I can recommend this hotel to travelers who want to relax and enjoy sophisticated food and service! My wife and son will be back and thanks to all involved to make our week stay memorable!

The hotel is just the right size—small enough to feel cozy and personal. There’s a supermarket, rent a car and some restaurants within walking distance, which is also very convenient. The staff is absolutely wonderful, from the owner and manager to the receptionists and waiters—everyone is welcoming and helpful. We had a fantastic stay and truly appreciate the warm hospitality. Highly recommended!
