This was hands down the best place to stay in Zanzibar! I was looking for somewhere quiet to relax with amazing sunset views, and this spot couldn’t have been more perfect. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the chef even taught me some Swahili! The staff were incredible: always friendly, attentive, and going out of their way to make sure everything was just right. It’s the little things that really stood out. On my last day, I had a late-night flight and was going to miss breakfast. Without me even asking, they packed one up for me to take on my trip. That kind of thoughtfulness says everything about how much they care for their guests. I’d 100% recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat if I get the chance to visit Zanzibar again!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at African Bungalows in Nungwi, Zanzibar. This cozy gem exceeded all my expectations. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home. The food is absolutely delicious, every meal was a treat! The hotel is nestled in a beautiful garden that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with a lovely pool. And the hotel is just a one minute walk to the stunning beach. The rooms are clean, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay and the bed was very comfortable, I had the best sleep in a long time. Another standout feature is the generator so you never have to worry about power interruptions. If you’re looking for a perfect spot for relaxation with excellent food and service in Zanzibar, I highly recommend African Bungalows. I’ll definitely come back!

Situated in Matemwe, a few steps from Matemwe Beach, HEBE Bungalows Lodge features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a shared lounge. It is in front of the beach ⛱️ 😎lot of sunbeds ,shadows, and trees, very clean. Good for rest. The food was very good. all employees were willing to help with any problem or question. Great place to stay.

All you need to relax… the hosts and staff were very helpful and kind, providing great experience and service overall. The food was also very good, from breakfast to dinner.

Situated in Nungwi and with Nungwi Beach reachable within a few steps, Dhow Beach Boutique Hotel features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a private beach area. We stayed at the Dhow for 2 nights and were in love with the place: excellent location at Nungwi beach - far from the noise of other hotels which makes you feel like you are on a private beach; delicious breakfasts and other meals for very reasonable prices; sea shore line; stylish design and use of nature to make it stand out; spacious rooms; and of course the owner of the hotel who makes everyone feel welcome and cared for. If we ever come back to Zanzibar, we will definitely book there again.
