fabulous hotel - eclectic furnishings, unique and a change from generic hotel chains! staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. Food was glorious too and late breakfast is super. the triple room was fabulous and super for our teenage son to have a proper bed not the usual flimsy sofa bed.

Dating back to 1838, Villa Solitude is situated next to the casino in the centre of Bad Gastein. It offers elegantly furnished accommodation with wooden floors and antique furniture.

Breakfast at Villa Solitude cost more than the actual accommodation stay !! It was a complete rip-off the prices they were charging.

The accommodation is practically located in the very center of this beautiful town. Within a 100-meter radius, there is a bakery, a tourist information center, several pizzerias and restaurants, a bus stop, a grocery store, a bank, a post office, ski and bike rental, as well as a swimming pool and a well-equipped children’s playground. Parking is separated by a private barrier and is free of charge with the accommodation. With our reservation, we also received free use of public transportation in the area as well as access to the cable cars. The apartment is well equipped, the staff is friendly and helpful and always available, and the breakfast is varied, delicious, and very tasty.
