This is a beautifully designed hotel featuring very modernly furnished rooms with exceptionally comfortable beds. We particularly enjoyed the great balcony that overlooked the lake. The indoor pool was a lovely amenity, although a touch cool for spring swimming. The outdoor jacuzzi, however, was excellent. Breakfast was a definite highlight, offering a wide and impressive variety of both cold and hot dishes, including some interesting special menu items. We also had a great dinner experience at the Saltz restaurant. A special mention must go to the concierge, who was incredibly helpful in securing tickets for the chocolate museum tour for us, even after we found it fully booked online.

Alma Hotel was a fabulous hotel with lovely old rooms with ,modern twist only 15 mins walk from old town. A perfect hotel near the lake with a ladies only wellness and yoga area. They even had a guest kitchen where you could store food in the fridge and prepare meals or snacks. Quite eco friendly with an honesty bar for drinks in reception and 24hr coffee machine in the restaurant. The only downside is that after my massage there isn’t a changing room or shower to use so when on the day of check out to get a massage it’s awkward. Apart from that tiny issue I would highly recommend this hotel in Zurich. Also a roof top terrace that would be fabulous in good weather!

Great location with a wider than expected buffet spread for breakfast catering for different diets. I enjoyed the spacious room and spotless bathroom. The bedroom was simple but very spacious with a nice window view. I could check in a little earlier and store my luggage after check out as well, which was very convenient. Charming hotel with great location, just a 15 min walk from the city center. Sparkling clean and cozy room. Comfy bed and pillows. The bathroom is spacious and very clean as well. They also include a kettle and complimentary tea, herbal infusions, and coffee as well as a small fridge in the room; a detail I really appreciate in a property. On a special note, I would like to thank Barbara, a staff member from the reception, for her kindness and her professionalism. I highly recommend Hotel Hottingen and will definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Zürich.
