From
IrelandThis wonderful family run hotel is an absolute gem. Built on stilts it is is constructed from restored used wood, is tastefully decorated to reflect Chilean arts and crafts and to calm the weary traveller, with lovely bedrooms facing the river and access to a kitchen as well as a delightful independent restaurant and balcony area on the third floor which all guests should take advantage of. We were treated to the best breakfast of our 3 week trip to Chile, the freshest of fruit, yoghurt, eggs, ham, cheese, juice, bread all prepared especially for us. But to top it off and most invaluable was the wonderful Helena and her family who took care of our every need and there were many! She made sure we could access our bedrooms early after a gruelling 16 hour overnight ferry from Puerto Cisnes and was our translator for many other little dramas that pursued us during our stay as two non-spanish speaking women. Thank you Helena!
