We stayed for 3 nights. Unfortunately on the first evening, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly and the staff was extremely attentive to move us into a bigger room. As we much preferred our original room (brighter and newer), they managed to fix the A/C the next day and move us back into our original room. The staff are all wonderful. Special shoutout to Pauline for accommodating our room changes so late in the evening and for proactively coming out to the car park to see if we needed a hand! Also shoutout to Manuela for her wam hospitality, and barista skills, at our breakfasts.

Very nice hotel with very nice people and they were willing to help you with all our requests. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also very good.

Very very good stay. The bed super comfortable. At arrival, tea, coffee, breads, cheese and a first harvest wine beverage as a welcome treat. Very good after a long journey. The hotel is at the gates of old town Colmar. Super convenient. Finally, a delicious and indeed rich buffet with pastries, cakes, chocolate brioches, coconut based yogurt.. you name it. A valuable stay. Staff super caring and nice.

Beautiful old building in a great location. But the rooms have been renovated tastefully with modern facilities. The restaurant is outstanding....great service and food...breakfast is also recommended.

The staff at Le Colombier is exceptional. We received a warm welcome and our request for a top floor room was honored. The hotel and rooms are very clean, well-kept and modernized, but still retain the old-world Alsacien charm that defines Colmar. Our room was very quiet and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great séjour. Breakfast was great and included a variety of options. I would definitely recommend Le Colombier and would be happy to stay here again.

We were extremely warmly welcomed by the staff when arriving to the hotel. As soon as we parked a staff member came to collect our luggage. He even helped us figure out the tilt function on our bicycle rack, that we did not know about. Upon leaving our bags were put in the car while we did out checkout and our car was driven to next to the main entrance, from where it was very easy to depart. We also liked very much the Winstube restaurant, which was the traditional one of the two restaurants.

Cottage 1956 is a contemporary B&B set on the Alsace Wine Route, just 6 km from Ammerschwihr Golf Club and 11 km from Kaysersberg Castle.
