Location for st Malo ferry is excellent. It’s beside a fab resto. The breakfast is very good. Staff helpful. Bed very comfy. Nice little touches at hotel such as games for kids.

Good location for exploring Rennes and Bretagne. Very nice hotel, cozy feel but what really stands out is the staff. I have travelled the world on business for 40 years and stayed in many luxury hotels but the Balthazar Hotel is one of the better experiences I have had. Full marks to every member of staff throughout the four nights we stayed at the hotel.

Very helpful staff, food excellent - I had the duck, and they were very helpful in relation to gluten free options, and cooked up some GF bread for us for breakfast as well. They were very welcoming also to our dog, and there was a lovely big park next door to the hotel to walk her as well. The hotel reception/bar/dining area is really cool -love how it is decorated in a funky way. And there are lots of electric charging points in their carpark as well. The staff could not have been more helpful, and I was able to check out late for a fee of €25 and was not disturbed by staff while on a work call during this time, although there was also no problem if you needed to work in the open areas either. Although really close to the ring round around Rennes, there was no noise from traffic.

Cleanliness and daily housekeeping. Helpful, chearful and accommodating staff. Location central to everything, the town, the shops, the café and walking distance from train station. Room facilities are great, comfortable bed. Even the sofabed was comfortable for the kids. The kitchenette facilities were complete. The big windows are great for having morning coffees.
