Nikki, the receptionist, was really laid-back while I phoned my bank in South Africa to get my arrangement sorted. Eventually, I did and from that moment onwards, everything worked smoothly

The whole Inn/Hotel was fabulous, stunning internal design. Booked a standard room and got a mini-suite! Everything about the Swan was first class, exceptional in fact. We ate dinner and breakfast on-site, great choice of food very good quality and service. Just a random booking on our part, we stayed at 4 hotels on this trip, the Swan is what we remember most about our trip, for all the right reasons.

The Dog & Doublet is a newly renovated country inn located in the village of Sandon, 5 miles from Stafford. It offers individually designed bedrooms, free Wi-Fi and home-cooked food.

Staff went above and beyond, were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Location was extremely picturesque with easy parking. Restaurant was charming and with a great menu with all the British classics.

Great room for the price. Quiet tucked away location. Beautiful old building and garden. Bring ear plugs in case the neighbours are noisy because ours were. That was only thing that we had to complain about.
