The staff were so friendly, warm and accommodating. We stayed in the Satsuki room so we had our own bathroom as well as private courtyard that was absolutely stunning to wake up to and really added to the overall experience. You can tell the owners and staff take a lot of pride in their business, as though the inn was old and some things weren't the most up to date, it was always very clean and fully stocked whenever we returned. The location is only a five minute walk to the train/bus station as well as a main road but somehow it still feels tranquil and quiet. Definitely one of the best parts of our stay!

I loved every single detail at Sakanoue. The room, the bed, the amenities, the breakfast, the location—everything was truly wonderful. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive.
