This hotel is a wonderful example of adaptive use. The front part of the hotel is housed in a 16th century building while the rooms are all brand new construction. It is a beautiful space, clean lines, and comfortable furnishings. Plenty of places to lounge throughout the property, both inside and outside. The breakfast was outstanding, with great options to fit all eating styles. I especially enjoyed trying the regional cheeses. Will definitely go back when I’m in that part of the country.

Charming hotel, great location, fantastic staff, excellent breakfast, spotless! Ideal location for visiting Vila Viçosa, Elvas, Evora and Badajoz. I recommend all future guests to take the time to meet and chat with Mrs. Manuela, co-owner of the hotel. A lady of enormous culture and personal knowledge of local and regional history.
