Old Town location, not easily accessible but totally worth the effort: in the middle of the old town just below the castle. Terrace with a million dollar views. Room in a traditional Osman house full of history.

The old charm of the architecture is perfectly combined with modern comforts – the beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom is clean and well-equipped. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, thanks to the incredibly kind staff and the wonderful owner, who takes the time to share fascinating stories about the building’s history and the antiques throughout the hotel. It really adds a personal and authentic touch to the experience. The breakfast was also very good, with fresh options served in a cozy setting. There’s convenient parking available at the hotel, and the historic center of Gjirokastër is just a short walk away – perfect for exploring the beautiful old town without needing the car. If you’re looking for a unique and comfortable stay with a touch of history and heartfelt hospitality, this place is a true gem. We would love to come back!

Το Hotel Kalemi 2 βρίσκεται στο Αργυρόκαστρο, σε απόσταση 44 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Λίμνη Ζαραβίνα και παρέχει καταλύματα με κήπο, δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge και... Lovely room and gorgeous view of the castle, right near the heart of the bazaar/old town. This also meant some late night bar music (until 11:15) but we didn’t mind. The generous breakfast, comfortable bed, and friendly staff were all positives!
