The 4-star By The Sea Resort is located in the centre of Port Douglas, next to Four Mile Beach and just a 2-minute walk from the restaurants along Macrossan Street. Everything. Proximity to shops and beach.

Set on over 140 acres of native forest and boasting a private beach, Thala Beach Nature Reserve is an Eco-friendly wildlife retreat. This resort was Heaven on Earth. The staff went above and beyond and they were all super nice. The views from the restaurant and bar overlooking the Coral Sea were astonishing and so was the food. The natural swimming pools were a delight as well, but what really stood out beside the staff were the tours for guests only. I loved them all: the Nature Walking Tour with Brett, the Star Gazing tour with Rose, the Coconut Odissey tour with Geff and also the cultural presentation about the Kuku Yalanji. There is also a private beach for guests only and it was lovely to walk around the property and spotting birds, butterflies, plants and all that nature has to offer. If one does not want to walk there is a buggy service taking you around the resort 24/7 and reception is also open 24/7. There is even a Turtle Lookout to spot seaturtles. The bungalows with their porches overlooking either the sea or the forest were stunning and what I loved the most about this place was how the resort was the background of the surrounding nature and not the other way around.

The deluxe apartment was well laid out with a balcony overlooking the garden and pool. The real treasure at this property is Ken, the owner of this property. His interest and kindness towards his guests is wonderful. He is full of local information, recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. He genuinely cares and is interested in his guests Ken, made our stay an exceptional experience. I would definitely recommend this property and stay here again

Paradise Links Resort Port Douglas, is ideally located to explore the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. Guests enjoy 2 lagoon-style swimming pools, a tennis court and free WiFi. Everything was great. Nice apartment, wonderful pool and great service

Coral Beach Lodge & Backpackers is located 500 metres from 4-Mile Beach. The lodge offers free WiFi and air-conditioned rooms, featuring tropical gardens and an outdoor swimming pool. Very roomy and clean accomodation.

Just 5 minutes’ walk from Four Mile Beach, The Newport on Macrossan - Adults Only features a solar-heated pool, a sunny terrace and barbecue facilities. The location was excellent, the room was super clean, free parking

Above all, the staff were incredible and went above and beyond to help us. We had a bit of a nightmare with our trip due to the floods and arrived at our room just 3.5hrs before we were due to check out! Aidan was so kind and helpful in the morning when we saw him, didn’t rush us to get sorted, and gave us loads of advice for our whole trip. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Location is good too. Sadly we didn’t get time to use any other facilities but everything looked lovely.

Just 400 metres from Four Mile Beach, Shantara Resort Port Douglas offers boutique-style accommodation with a private balcony. The room was a great size. The pools were amazing.

Regal Port Douglas is just 200 metres from the beach, right at the start of the restaurant strip in Port Douglas. Wonderful place to stay. The studio room was large and fully equipped. We had a hot tub in the covered balcony and the staff had it on and warmed up for our arrival. Great location.
