The 4-star By The Sea Resort is located in the centre of Port Douglas, next to Four Mile Beach and just a 2-minute walk from the restaurants along Macrossan Street. All apartments come with full kitchen facilities and many also have sea views. Washer and dryer in the unit were great. All recreational amenities were readily available. The property was beautifully appointed, and Cole was most helpful with our excursion planning.

All rooms are air-conditioned and offer a bathtub, a refrigerator, and a minibar. Wow! I read some negative views and shortened my stay based upon they. I regret that. This was such a beautiful place. Waking up in the morning to the sounds of tropical birds was so relaxing. The staff were over the top with their hospitality. I cannot recommend this place more. Do not read the negative reviews. They are simply inaccurate. One was about walking around at night which we enjoyed as it is so beautiful however the staff is always circling in a cart to drive guests around if they do not want to walk.

Our property features shared female and male dorms with private bathrooms and private rooms with ensuite bathrooms and an outdoor patio. We arrived late - we were sent an email with contactless check in on/arrival - all worked well. Exceeded our expectations for the price we paid. Staff very friendly when we spoke with them in the morning and gave good suggestions for what to do in a day in Port Douglas.

All air-conditioned rooms have a flat-screen TV, a DVD player and free movie channels. Each room has a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. Most also have lovely mountain, pool or garden views. Great location and fantastic, well equipped apartment.
