We loved the spa with its stunning view, and if you’re lucky, you might spot wildlife right from your balcony! The kitchen was well-equipped, the bed super comfy, and delicious food at its own restaurant made our stay truly unforgettable.

Each of the unique cabins at Cradle Mountain Highlanders has cosy interiors, including a fireplace. All cabins are lined with beautiful Tasmanian timber and most cabins have full kitchen facilities. Some units have a luxurious spa bath and mountain views. Staying at Cradle Highlander was a unique experience. During our trip, we stayed at different places—some felt like hotels, while others felt like home. But the Highlander was something else. On that cold night, it felt so cozy inside, especially with the fireplace—it was the cherry on top. We could step outside to see the stars, crystal clear in the sky, then rush back into the warmth of our room because of the chill outside. Overall, it was the best. Hiking in Cradle and staying at the Highlander is the perfect combination.

You can unwind over high tea at The Atrium Bar or reserve a table at the contemporary Restaurant Tasman which overlooks the harbour. Location was excellent. Staff friendly and extremely helpful. Quick and easy check in and out. Room was beautiful. Bed super comfortable. Bathroom luxurious and modern. On retrospect I think booking a wharf side room rather than city side would have been worth the extra as the wharf view was amazing and I was a bit sorry I had decided to save the money and not book it. Hotel was close to wharf where there were great restaurant choices and also to the city. The tours left from the wharf less than 5 minutes away. The Sky Bus from the airport was reasonably prices and stopped just outside the hotel.

Had the fire outside ready to go and an amazing place to sit and watch the stars 10 stars from us.

Great location, lovely spacious cottage, with personal touches. Recommend raiding the DVD collection and watching Gulliver's Travels.
