It has been carefully restored to keep its structure and many of its features exactly as they have been for centuries. It offers lovely views of the countryside and features a seasonal outdoor pool, seating areas and a library. Beautiful old castle with friendly and helpful staff. Food was excellent and plentiful (breakfast choices were more than adequate)

Maria Jesus at reception was exceptionally kind and patient with my Spanish. She upgraded me to a balcony room, and even gave me a lovely poster of Ciudad Rodrigo since it was my birthday. The cleaning lady was super friendly too. If you enjoy historic properties, this one is beautiful, exactly as pictured.
