The village where the prisoner was filmed was a real treat, absolutely perfect to be honest.
Porthmadog
Situated within Snowdonia National Park, Aberdunant Hall is a 17th-century property set within 200-acres of woodland on an idyllic upmarket Holiday Home Park. With free onsite parking, it retains many original features, such as beamed ceilings, fireplaces and stained glass. Guests can relax in the garden or on the terrace. The Cabanas were comfortable with plenty of room for our family of 3. Great views out over the trees/mountains. A good base for exploring north wales.
Tal-y-llyn

The en suite rooms have splendid lakeside or garden views and guests can also stay in the adjacent accommodation, converted from old farm buildings. All rooms have TVs, telephones and tea/coffee making facilities.
We go there every trip to Wales and love it. The view, the food, the room, location, ... we just love it.
