This historic former brewery boasts light and elegant rooms with rustic, original features and fine Egyptian linen. Just 45 metres from the beautiful riverside, the hotel features its own French bistro. Fabulous room, great location, and excellent food! We had a wonderful stay — the room was spotless and comfortable, the location was perfect, and having car parking was a huge plus. The food was really good, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Huge shout out to Rukesh, Holly, and Svetiana — you made our stay extra special. Thank you!

Offering free WiFi and free parking, the stylish 4-star hotel Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross is ideally situated in Beaconsfield, in the heart of Buckinghamshire, just a few minutes' drive from both the M40 and M25 motorways. Guests can enjoy cocktails and drinks in the bar, and there is a fitness centre and onsite spa. Everything was lovely. The food was good, the staff were helpful and made us (including a lively three year old) very welcome. The bedrooms were very nice and well equipped. A very nice touch was the free food and drink provided! The pool was also a welcome addition.

A 10-minute walk from the centre of Great Missenden is the Nag’s Head Hotel, a 4-star 15th century inn. Guests can enjoy contemporary styled interiors, Anglo-French fusion cuisine and free Wi-Fi.

Each en suite room is individually designed, some featuring original wood beams and all boasting modern fittings. Views look out onto the surrounding countryside and the Nag’s Head’s own large garden. Loved this place - being so old it has some quirks like sloping floors and low doorways (which added to the charm). Our beautiful room was above the dining room and at first we thought the noise might be a problem, however we probably had the best sleep of our entire holiday. Outstanding food and atmosphere, and absolutely amazing staff. Nothing was too much trouble and every single staff member we dealt with was friendly, helpful and genuine. We stayed 3 nights, but wish we could have stayed longer.

Set in a beautifully restored 17th century inn, this guest accommodation is at the foot of the Chiltern Hills and offers spacious and stylish rooms. Stayed in by Jackie Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor, The Bell, Aylesbury East by Innkeeper’s Collection now serves seasonal dishes and speciality drinks in The Bell restaurant and bar. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was large and clean & food in the pub was excellent! You'll need to book in the evenings, but you can eat in the bar area as well. We didn't prebook breakfast, but ended up easting there every morning anyway as it was so good.
