Nestled on a rock above the sea, Boutique & Design Hotel Navis - Small Luxury Hotels of the World offers an outdoor pool and a luxury interior. Beautiful and well maintained hotel with amazing staff. Everything was great and all the staff was exceptional.

Built in 2013 and situated in front of a beach, the Bevanda Hotel & Restaurant - Unique Adriatic offers luxurious rooms with free Wi-Fi and spacious furnished terraces overlooking the sea. The room was very large with plenty of space and central bed looking out over the balcony and sea views beyond. The balcony was accessed via large sliding doors. Bath also accessed the balcony and had a jacuzzi bath to enjoy the views. Breakfast was amazing as was the lady who served us, very friendly and made the stay most pleasent.

Completely renovated in 2020 and housed in an Austro-Hungarian villa dating back to 1886, this 5-star hotel is situated amid a well-groomed St. Jacob Park in the centre of Opatija. This was my best hotel experience ever. The room was luxurious, including robes and slippers. Customer service was beyond impeccable, including check-in with prosecco, first-class dinner service with delicious food, an unexpected bottle of prosecco at the end of our second day, and complimentary coffee and croissants at checkout. Note that the surprise prosecco was because we weren't able to book simultaneous massages at the spa next door, which brings up another point. Although this location is a small boutique hotel, guests have full access to the amenities at the larger, adjacent sister-hotel with free use of sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and pool plus a full menu of for-pay spa services. Some of the other extras may have been possible because our stay was during off/shoulder season but guests will be guaranteed royal treatment by wonderfully attentive management and staff.

Situated in Lovran on the Opatija Riviera, Villa Vera is surrounded by a Mediterranean garden. It has a glass-enclosed area with swimming pool and whirlpool, sun terrace and saunas. Very elegant hotel in perfect location. Clean and gives homey feeling. Large rooms and friendly staff.

Only 50 metres from the beach and the 12-km long seaside promenade, Villa Eugenia is located in the centre of the mediaeval Lovran, on the Opatija Riviera. Everything was fine. Tasty and varied breakfast. They can make anything according to your request.

From our warm welcome (with a cold drink) to our departure...the kind staff (smiles do matter), the close attention to little details, and the stylish (but not pretentious) facilities exceeded our expectations. We'd like to comment on our hostess/manager Maria, who made such a difference in our experience. We felt this was an extraordinary value for money. The breakfast buffet (with daily live music/pianist!) and service at breakfast was outstanding and generous and a joy to linger over on the terrace or under the arched patio. Our room with a balcony view of the sea was fresh, comfy, and done in such soothing colors. We loved the quiet indoor/outdoor pool area, the close vicinity to the beach walk, and free use of the sauna/steam rooms. The hotel still has an air of old-school, formal glamour (without being stuffy) that one doesn't find so often anymore but we truly appreciate. We will be back.

Featuring a wellness & spa centre, the newly renovated Hotel Bellevue - Liburnia is housed in a beautiful Empire-style building, as one of the oldest hotel it is considered a local landmark. The reception was very helpful in recommending dinner a few steps from the hotel. Dining room staff very professional and efficient.
