We were on a 2-week trip in Iceland for my hubby's 50th birthday and this was his favourite place. I don't think they knew it was his birthday but they treated us better than anywhere else. It is an impeccably-furnished, totally gorgeous historical guesthouse with wonderful staff, food and warmth. Our room was small but perfect and breakfast was delicious. The town itself is really lovely. Make sure you pre-book Sjavarpakkhusid (kind of opposite) restaurant for dinner - it was also glorious (see photos). Thanks for making this such a special stop on our Icelandic journey!

Found 23 km east of Snæfellsnes National Park, this hotel offers bright, modern rooms with private bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. Snæfellsjökull Volcano is within 20 minutes’ drive. The room was a bit small but satisfied me as a solo traveller. The dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were very good. It is near the Black Church.

This award-winning, eco-friendly hotel is on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, 6 km from Iceland’s famous Snæfellsjökull glacier and volcano. Had one stay here. What a beautiful area. Was extremely satisfied with the room -- the pillows were actually really good! The breakfast was phenomenal.

Το Einarshúsid Guesthouse βρίσκεται σε Bolungarvík, σε απόσταση 14 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Pollurinn Hot Spring και προσφέρει καταλύματα με κήπο, δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης, κοινόχρηστο... It was cosy and well situated. I liked the fact there was a handbasin in the room.
