Here you can admire early 20th-century architecture, Art Nouveau design, exposed-stone walls and exposed-wood beams. Lovely place right in the middle of Cagliari centre, close to bars, restaurants and shops. Also close to the train station and bus stops. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and always clean. Breakfast was great with delicious homemade cakes and crostatas, fresh bread, homemade jams and coffee. Definitely recommend.

The Excelsior is located in the city centre of La Maddalena Island, a 2-minute walk from the ferries to/from Palau. There is free public parking in front of the hotel.

A varied buffet is served in a breakfast room with views of Santo Stefano Island. In summer, guests can enjoy it on the panoramic outdoor terrace. Extremely friendly and helpful staff! Their recommendations - beaches, restaurants, etc - were all spot on! Breakfast was very good; Location is best in-class too.

The room was much larger than we expected and the host, Enrico, was the true definition of a good host. He greeted us with a coffee during the check-in process, gave us some very good pointers on where to go in the city (sightseeing, dining, etc.) and even accepted to let us leave our luggage during our last day in Cagliari (flight was late in the evening). Also, items in the room such as snacks, coffee pods and so on were replaced daily and we were even left a complimentary soft drink each in the room. Regarding location, the area might seem dodgy at first, but rest assured that it is very safe and very close (walking distance) to the heart of the city. Would seriously recommend this place.
