Conveniently situated just a 3-minute walk from Hakata Shinkansen (bullet train) Station, Hakata Tokyu REI Hotel provides sophisticated guest rooms and a cosy guest lounge. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Excellent location. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Free drinks were provided at specific times. Free drinking water at every floor.

A 3-minute walk from JR Hakata Train Station, JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Hakata Central offers accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Like my previous reviews, I had always said location and staff service are important. A hotel's amenities are secondary as we only stay at the hotel after a day outdoors, hence the bed and the bathroom should also be good, which the hotel has provided.

Hakata Green Hotel Annex offers modern accommodation with a restaurant and free property-wide Wi-Fi. It is a 1-minute walk from JR Hakata Station’s Chikushi Exit. Hotel location is 1 or 2 minutes from the Chikushi [East] Exit of JR Hakata Station, just around the corner. Extremely convenient location! Right next door is a convenience store if you need anything after the end of or the beginning of your day. The first thing I noticed walking into my room for the first time was that it felt more spacious for a solo traveler (and for the room I selected) than the standard business hotel size (such as a Toyoko Inn). The bathroom (toilet/sink/shower) is the commonly seen one from business hotel to business hotel, but not too cramped for me. My stay was very quiet at nights. There are magnets on the room door to indicate, in the morning, if you want the cleaning staff to ignore the room or if you want them to clean it on that day, OR if you just want them to leave you with a bag of amenities. JR Hakata Station is massive and connected me to the subways also. I was able to visit Canal City (shopping complex) in the city and was also able to take the shinkansen (bullet train) elsewhere. When I'm back in Hakata/Fukuoka, I am definitely staying here again. Tip: Check out LaLaport Fukuoka (friends drove me but you can probably get there by taxi as well and possibly train station, though I didn't research) - it has a large Gundam statue as well as a Gundam Base on the same floor as a arcade/crane game Game Center. Separately, next to JR Hakata Station are a lot of shops including a large Yodobashi Camera store. It's on the same side as this hotel, but instead of exiting Chikushi exit and going left, go right if you want to see Yodobashi.

Hotel Hokke Fukuoka is a 10-minute walk away from JR Hakata Train Station. Rooms come with a flat-screen satellite TV. Awesome location and extremely walkable distance to Canal City mall, the yatai street and Hakata station as well. Room is of typical Japan's city size and nothing much to shout about. Cleanliness could be better though we aren't picky to begin with, and i guess it varies from time to time even for higher grade hotels. For those who enjoy, the onsen is a great bonus.

A mere 3-minute stroll from Tenjin Station in the heart of Fukuoka, the Richmond Hotel offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi and wired internet. location is good, can walkable within 10 mins to Tenjin station, there has Tenijin south station on walk 3 mins.

Open from December 2014, Candeo Hotels Fukuoka Tenjin is situated a 10-minute walk from Tenjin Subway Station. With free WiFi throughout, it offers modern rooms, a public bath and a sauna. Convenient and easy access to train and subway stations. Breakfast was great, room was clean and tidy but a bit small in size. Staffs were helpful, polite and efficient.

APA Hotel Fukuoka provides simple rooms with a flat-screen TV and an original mattress optimising weight distribution. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Watanabe Dori Subway Station. The staff’s kindness goes without saying, and the place is exceptionally clean. I observed that they assess whether guests can speak Japanese or not before interacting with them.
