A 5-minute walk from Koen-Shimo Cable Car Station, cosy family-run ryokan Lalaca features indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths which use natural hot spring water directly pumped from the source. Such a wonderful place to stay in Hakone. They have public and private onsen and the view from the onsen is beautiful. The room is really big and the dinner is fantastic. The localisation is really good also with the train at 10min walk. And it is so quiet. It is not cheap but it is worth the money you put in there.

What an amazing experience - the staff were so attentive, the food was authentic (the vegetarian option was delicious as well) If you’re looking for a traditional ryokan experience this is it. The 5 baths are all unique (3 are private and you book a time each day) and very relaxing. You really feel like you are transported back in time. Highly recommend

Located in front of Sakuragi-Cho Station, the high-rise Yokohama Washington Hotel offers free WiFi throughout the property, air-conditioned rooms and a restaurant with spectacular bay-side views. I am a repeat patron of this hotel and this chain. I book through an internet site. It's sometimes hit or miss on how nice the room is, but generally very comfortable and a fantastic location. I will stay again in future

Hakone Pax Yoshino is located a 12-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Train Station and offers indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and traditional multi-course Kaiseki meals. Breakfast was great. We were able to have dinner there as an add on, and the meal was amazing.
