Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Small provided vegetarische diner (delicious Japanese Curry) and breakfast. Convivial common eating room.

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. I arranged a special surprise with the hotel to propose to my girlfriend, initially disguised as a birthday gift with a room upgrade and room service dinner. This review is thus not representative for the room linked to this booking. However, I want to specifically praise the hotel staff, with a specific shout-out to Katagiri. They went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience and I cannot thank them enough! The view from the seaside rooms is amazing and the beds are very comfy, the traditional dinner is on point and the staff is just wonderful.

Thank you for a beautiful stay here. There are only a few rooms, which makes it super private and comfortable. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The rooms are spacious and super clean and comfortable. They even provide free coffee in the lobby. Location is superb, just 3min walking from the ferry port (but still super quiet and peaceful)

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. It's by far the best hotel experience we had in Japan, after being in 4-5 other cities. The lounge facing ocean with sunset view is amazing, and the rooftop bath in the night overlooking the bay and the Tori is intimate and relaxing, after the crowd is gone. The staff is extremely caring and offered personalized advice to visit and dine out. We were late for check-out because of some delay with the ropeway, but the staff really cared about our wellbeing. Cherry on top, beds in Japan are usually very hard but this hotel gave me the best sleep!

Το Sakuraya ανακαινίστηκε το 2013. Προσφέρει οικονομικά δωμάτια ιαπωνικού στυλ με θέα στο βουνό ή στη θάλασσα και δωρεάν Wi-Fi στους κοινόχρηστους χώρους. Miyajima is beautiful, one of the most amazing places in the world and Sakuraya enhances the experience to the maximum. The room has plenty of space, having the first real washitsu in which I stayed while being in Japan. Miyajima is not a place in which residing is easy (the Island is still little), so the price is more than considered. English is not a problem as well. The staff was extremely helpful - my girlfriend was sick, but they provided me with a thermometer and some medicines, such that the trip wasnt completely ruined. If you want to stay in Miyajima, this is it.

Το Miyajima Morinoyado άνοιξε ξανά τον Απρίλιο του 2014 μετά από ανακαίνιση και προσφέρει άνετα δωμάτια και ευρύχωρο δημόσιο λουτρό. Only had one night I wish we had more. Located slightly away from the crowds and closer to nature in Miyajima, this hotel had wonderful view, comfortable room and amazing service in a peaceful atmosphere. Rich and beautifully served breakfast. They also offered to take us to the docks whenever was needed which was greatly appreciated.
