Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Wat een fijne plek is dit zeg! De sfeer is heel goed, we hadden een geweldige kamer met mooi uitzicht. In de gemeenschappelijke ruimte kijk je uit op de prachtige tuin. Het ontbijt en diner wat wordt aangeboden is erg gastvrij. Heerlijke curry gegeten! Boek hier dus.

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. This was our favorite hotel in Japan! We stayed only one night to get to see the island of Miyajima a bit more, and staying here was such a nice experience. In particular, the dinner at the hotel was so special and delicious! You need to message them to make the reservation some days in advance, but they were always very responsive. The facilities of the hotel were really great: the public baths, the rooftop terrace, the footbath café. Finally, the staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Oyado Tsukiusagi is gelegen op 13 minuten lopen van Momijidani Park en 600 meter van The great Torii, en is voorzien van kamers in Miyajima. Everything was exceptional. We loved the Oyado Tsukiusagi! It had the most comfortable futon beds we experienced through our 5 weeks of traveling through Japan, a beautiful and clean room, and the lady at the hotel was very nice and welcoming. We really love Miyajima so we were very happy that we could stay at the island through the night.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. Prachtige ruime kamers met uitzicht op zee en de shrine, heerlijke onsen met uitzicht op de shrine. Heerlijk eten. Goed ontbijt. Fantastische lounge mrt gratis drinken, wijn en snacks. Sakuraya is gerenoveerd in 2013 en biedt betaalbare kamers in Japanse stijl met uitzicht op de bergen of de zee. Er is gratis WiFi beschikbaar in de openbare ruimtes. I had a delightful stay at Sakuraya. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a cozy atmosphere. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience. Additionally, the hotel's convenient location made it easy to explore nearby attractions. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would highly recommend Sakuraya to anyone visiting the area.

Miyajima Morinoyado is na renovatie in april 2014 heropend en biedt comfortabele kamers en een ruim openbaar bad. We loved this quite small traditional Japanese hotel. It was the best dinner that I had in Japan, rooms are big and very comfortable, the public bath is great, spacious and very clean. The location is fantastic, near the shrine. A free transfer was a great option, because it was raining, the staff at the reception and restaurant are so friendly and helpful! Thank you for the best stay in Miyajima!
