Situated at the heart of historic Takayama Old Town and just steps away from Takayama Jinya Morning Market, the traditional Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan offers personalised hospitality, hot spring baths... This was probably our favourite accommodation during our entire trip in Japan. Not only was takayama itself beautiful to travel to by train but the hospitality at Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan was amazing and I would definitely return here when I come to Takayama next. Would definitely recommend the traditional meal experience as well! They will also pick you up/drop you off at the train station as well for no extra cost!

Really great amenities! Face masks for the evening after a relaxing Onsen session. <3 Very nice staff that helped us store our luggage. Very clean and spacious room, bathroom was luxurious.
