Het boetiekhotel Langdale by Amaya ligt in de prachtige heuvels van Nuwara Eliya en biedt luxe kamers met een prachtig uitzicht op de heuvels. The property itself was amazing. The building is over 130 years old but excellently maintained. As a boutique hotel it only accommodates up to 11 guests at a time, making it a very homely experience, which we loved. The staff were absolutely excellent, going out of their way to make our stay comfortable. No request was too much, or too little. And we absolutely loved engaging with them. Situated near Nuwara Eliya it boasts some amazing views which we thoroughly enjoyed as we sat down for some tea (and it was some of the best tea we’ve had) or breakfast. As a small boutique hotel, food choices can be somewhat limited but their a’ la carte menu items, in our view, would meet most tastes. The food we ate was excellent quality with pastry items (bread, croissants, cakes etc.) made on the premises. These also were excellent.

Hill Cottage is gelegen in Nuwara Eliya, en biedt een restaurant en gratis WiFi. De beroemde Nuwara Eliya Golf Club bevindt zich op 500 meter afstand. De lokatie was perfect zo naast het Grand Hotel en tegenover de prachtige golfbaan. Wanneer ik in Nuwara Eliya ben, wil ik graag de sfeer proeven uit de koloniale tijd en dat lukte perfect in Hill Cottage. Het was precies wat ik zocht. Terug in de tijd met vriendelijk personeel, een fijne kamer, een lekker ontbijt en eindelijk slapen zonder airco. Prachtige tuin ook!

The Golf Green City Bungalow ligt op 700 m van het busstation van Nuwara Eliya en biedt rustige en comfortabele accommodatie, omgeven door weelderig groen. Er is gratis WiFi in de openbare ruimtes. Super vriendelijke eigenaar, ook de hulp van het hotel hielp met alles. Een theetje bij aankomst, taxi regelen of helpen zoeken naar een goed restaurant ( er schuinover trouwens heel lekker en perfect na een dag reizen). Nette kamers

Heritance Tea Factory biedt de ultieme verblijfservaring in een koloniale stijl en wordt omringd door een theeplantage en de mistige bergen. Beautiful location and very relaxing place .

Serenus Boutique Villa ligt in Nuwara Eliya en beschikt over een fitnesscentrum. Deze accommodatie met eigen kookgelegenheid biedt gratis WiFi. Het uitzicht vanaf de kamer en de bedden bevielen het meest. Verder was het personeel zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Prima ontbijt. Fijn ontvangst en een mooie accommodatie.

Ferncliff Bungalow ligt in de Nuwara Eliya-vallei van de centrale hooglanden van Sri Lanka, op 10 minuten rijden van de botanische tuinen van Hakgala en de Nuwara Eliya Golf Club. Very spacious and comfortable- 6 bedrooms with very large lounge spaces to accommodate any kind of leisure. Set on very large private grounds the property is very peaceful and relaxing yet close to the town and main attractions. We were very lucky to be the only guests for 3 days and were pampered by the wonderful Roshan and his team. Superb cooking, fabulous house keeping, a welcoming fire and a wake up pot of tea to our room first thing. Roshan also arranged transport and laundry for us. Couldn’t have asked for more.

The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking 24 hectares of tea plantation, surrounded by luscious mountains. It is the perfect combination of peace and isolation amidst a breathtaking scenery. The hotel staff are very attentive to guests’ needs - be it booking car transfers or showing the best hike routes in the area. This place is a gem and we look forward to coming back.

De Hill Club is een prachtige accommodatie omgeven door het weelderige groen van Nuwara Eliya. De accommodatie beschikt over 39 goed ingerichte kamers met een dvd-speler en gratis WiFi. Superlatives pour, as they must for this piece of living history, still a members club for well-heeled Colombo society, set in the lush wooded Highlands of Sri Lanka. For Brits the portraits of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip (Churchill props up the bar), borrowable ties and jackets for dinner in the formal dining room, billiard rooms, tea in the reading room browsing Whitakers Almanac from 1956, hot water bottles, sweeping views (and weather) indistinguishable from those from a country house in Shropshire, render the experience surreal. Dinner was a great spread, the Sri Lankan breakfast a must. Stacey provided a warm and professional greeting, ask too for Hasim's short tour of the public areas. All the staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful. Room number 3 was glorious, well appointed and maintained with a large bathroom, all looking over the estate's perfectly groomed parkland.

MANUDI Glenfallsedge Rest ligt op slechts 400 meter van de schilderachtige Nuwara Eliya Golf Club en de Royal Colombo Golf Club. WiFi is gratis beschikbaar. Heel vriendelijke en warme gastvrouw. Uitgebreid ontbijt. Bij aankomst spontaan upgrade gekregen naar grotere kamer. Ruime kamer. Uitstekende douche.

Unique Cottages bevindt zich in Nuwara Eliya, op 2,3 km van Lake Gregory, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so attentive and helpful. We were arriving in later than expected and they had food prepared for us. The breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect as well very close to everything. Couldn’t recommend the accommodation enough - really happy with the accommodation and again the staff were just so great.
