The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... We recently stayed at this beautiful mansion, and it exceeded all our expectations. Every detail of the property was stunning, creating a luxurious and serene atmosphere. The food and drinks were excellent. The staff were both professional and incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Their warm hospitality made us feel truly welcome. I highly recommend this mansion for anyone looking for a perfect getaway. Can't wait to visit again!

Beautiful, historic building with great service. Location in the town is perfect and breakfast is great. The staff went out of their way to help us rearrange our journey during the bad weather.

Close to a clean and comfortable beach for swimming, a bus station, a railway station, shops, markets, and cafes. Everything you need is within walking distance from the house. The house itself and the surrounding area are very tidy , beautiful and clean. The owner, his family, and the assistant are friendly and pleasant people. There are tables and chairs on the premises, perfect for relaxing. There's also a shared living room where we had interesting conversations with the owner. Additionally, we were taught how to cook jackfruit and banana flower. After cooking, we enjoyed a communal dinner. The breakfasts are fresh and delicious. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with everything necessary provided. It’s convenient for both short stays and longer-term visits. Thank you for the hospitality. We highly recommend this place for staying in Hikkaduwa!

The staff is really nice and friendly and the location is perfect, if you're looking to explore Galle Fort and its beautiful stores, coffees and restaurants. The room has a lot of space, and the bathroom/shower too. Very clean and comfortable. Totally recommend. The terrace is the perfect spot to see the sunset while you enjoy a nice cocktail or drink from the bar.

The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable & have all necessary facilities. Specially You can have the perfect view of the sun set, boys playing cricket, Fort walls , Ramparts & hundreds of kites flying above you from the roof top & may be the only place you get to see everything in a single frame. Host, Theekshana is super friendly and helpful & speaks well. This is my best stay in Sri Lanka!

Σρι Λάνκα Το αρχιτεκτονικό ξενοδοχείο Dunes Unawatuna είναι ένα φιλικό προς το περιβάλλον boutique ξενοδοχείο κοντά στην όμορφη παραλία Unawatuna (100μ. / 5 λεπτά με τα πόδια). Absolutely loved our stay at Dunes, it's everything we needed in Galle/Unawatuna, despite not having a pool the beach is literally down the road so you don't even need the pool. The hotel is in the middle of everything and yet it is very quiet away from the main road. I absolutely loved staying here and wished I could stay longer. We opted for breakfast in the hotel in the morning and it was so entertaining to watch monkeys play in the trees and listening to birds chirping was my favourite part of the day. The room was big and spacious also
