Nihal took exceptional care of us from the very first moment. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and we felt warmly welcomed. The property, the garden, and the pool are truly magical. We enjoyed lunch and breakfast, and both meals were absolutely delicious. The chef Idika came personally to check in to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The location is in Kandy, just a five-minute tuk-tuk ride from the city centre. The hotel also kindly offered to drive us back and forth. Overall, a five-star-plus experience.

Located in the heart of Kandy City, Villa 49 is 1 km from the famous Temple of Tooth. Its restaurant serves local and Western dishes. Free Wi-Fi and parking are provided. A cable TV is available in the lobby. We enjoyed a wonderful two-nights-stay in Kandy to visit cultural monuments and the botanical garden. From the start, our friendly host and her staff made us feel welcome and indulged us with lovely welcome tea, tips what to visit, where to have dinner. Breakfast is served in a nice living room with terrace including a selection of fresh fruits and homemade local food like baked hoppers. We booked self-made dinner as well, which was a delicious variety of curries and rice followed by dessert. The house is located close to the beautiful lake, you can walk to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth. Friendliness, service, cleanliness, Wifi – all five stars!!!

The location is central enough to get to places, there are 2 great restaurants close by that we visited - No Name and the pizza joint. But the food in the restaurant is more than satisfying and the team are happy to help. I would definitely return here in the future.

Nestled within Kandy’s lush green hills, Hotel See Kandy features an outdoor pool and offers comfortable rooms with a balcony overlooking the mountains. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property. This lovely hotel reminded me of 1970s Hollywood Hills houses. Our rooms had windows from ceiling to floor with the most incredible views over beautiful Kandy. Amazing trees and bird life outside our windows. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Thr staff could not have been nicer or more obliging. Great breakfast. A great stay.

The property is a 15-minute drive from the Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya. Kandy railway and bus stations are about 1 km away, while The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is 40 km away. It is 800 metres away from Kandyan Cultural Centre and 5 km from the Tea Museum. Friendly manager, great aircon and internet, very comfortable. Some other reviews say it’s a long walk from town but I disagree, it’s not far at all and the walk takes you around the beautiful Kandy lake!
